Longstaff and Frank Symthe for the outside world discovered this enchanting place by sheer chance in 1931, through local villagers of Bhundar valley knew it as Nandakanan since time immemorial, they feared venturing into the valley, because of the sprits and fairies that were thought to be hunting the beautiful valley. They feared that the sprits would carry them away.
More than thousand varieties of flower, ferns, and Himalayan herbs grow in valley. The most beautiful of all Himalayan flower, the blue Primula can be seen blooming in thousand in the valley. The best time to see the valley in full bloom is mid-July to mid- August.
To reach the valley one has to trek from Govind Ghat on the route to Hemkund Sahib, up to Ghangaria, 12 km ahead. few furlongs ahead of Ghangaria the trek route to the valley takes a detour towards the left. The valley is at a distance 5 km from Ghangaria.

Itenrary

Day 1 Delhi – Drive to Rishikesh 255 km. Dinner & over night at Rishikesh.

Day 2 Drive 256 km to Joshimath. Hot lunch enroute. Dinner & over Night at Joshimath.

Day 3 22 km drive by bus to Govind Ghat, further 14 km trek to Ghangaria with packed lunch. Dinner & over night at Ghangaria.

Day 4 5 km trek to valley of flower with packed lunch. In afternoon Trek back to Ghangaria 5 km. dinner & over night at Ghangaria.

Day 5 6 km trek to Hemkund Sahib with packed lunch. In the Afternoon, trek 6 km back to Ghangaria. Dinner & over night at Ghangaria.

Day 6 14 km trek to Govindghat with packed lunch. drive to Joshimath. Dinner & over night at Joshimath.

Day 7 256 km drive to Rishikesh. Hot lunch enroute. Dinner & over Night at Rishikesh.

Day 8 After breakfast drive to Delhi. Arrival Delhi. Tour concludes.
