LADAKH
Ladakh derives its name from the numerous passes that is abounds in. Ladakh compresses two words ,'' LA'' and ''Dhak'' meaning 'pass'' and '' this land of mountains , its pincers location of monasteries ,the rich ancient Buddhist monuments , rhythm of musical instruments that accompany that chanting of buddhist monk ,the traditional folk songs and folk dance that have come down the ages almost unchanged ,the colorful masked dances of the monastic festival ,the grandeurs of snow - capped mountains around small and narrow river basins that simplicity , charms and hospitality of the Ladakhi people all go into making this unique mountainous terrain, abode of man ,a great attraction for tourist of all categories.
